Student Services Representative
She, Her, Hers
As a member of the UBC Extended Learning (ExL) student services team, Judy supports students by answering questions about ExL programs and courses, helps students choose the right courses, and assists them with registration. She also performs a range of administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of student services and the ExL registration desk.

Aideen Clery
Program Coordinator, UBC Future Global Leaders
She, Her, Hers
Aideen supports the development, marketing and administration of a number of UBC Extended Learning (ExL) and faculty programs, including the UBC Future Global Leaders (FGL) pre-university summer program, the UBC Certificate in Biomedical Visualization and Communication, the UBC Micro-certificate in Blockchain Innovation and Implementation, and the Peter A. Allard School of Law Executive Learning Program in Mining Law and Sustainability.
In her role, she liaises with UBC Student Recruitment and Marketing, UBC Camps and school groups (for Future Global Leaders), as well as faculty staff and instructors, to deliver programs for high school students and adult learners alike.
Aideen strives to provide students with a fulfilling, valuable UBC experience, and enjoys improving program processes.

Nicole Dingle
Research Analyst, Academic Services
She, Her, Hers
Nicole provides market research support for program development initiatives for UBC Extended Learning (ExL) and Faculty programming as a member of the ExL Academic Services, Program Development, Design and Research team. She conducts market and labour market analysis to assess program needs and demand, performing environmental and comparator scans to evaluate program viability and industry needs. Her insights contribute to guiding program development and design in alignment with Ministry, University and Faculty strategic goals. As part of Academic Services’ role in the VPAO New Programs Hub, Nicole also supports the development and analysis of student, alumni, and industry surveys to further inform program strategy. Additionally, Nicole assists with the administration of funding calls for the Continuous Learning Advancement Fund (CLAF).

Jennifer Dinh is at the forefront of student services for international students participating in the Vancouver Summer Program (VSP). With a focus on communications strategy, event management, and partnerships, Jennifer ensures a seamless experience for students. Jennifer collaborates with various faculties and on-campus stakeholders to provide students with unique opportunities while they are in the VSP.
With a background in marketing, finance, and international relations across the Asia Pacific region, Jennifer is adept at identifying new opportunities and markets. Committed to professional growth, she aims to expand her industry expertise by working with partner universities and faculties to explore new opportunities for program development, while also engaging in volunteer work.

Dan Fortier
Program Coordinator, UBC Future Global Leaders (On Leave)
Dan’s operational, logistical, financial and technical background is indispensable in his role as a program coordinator of the UBC Future Global Leaders program. His duties include planning and booking accommodation, meals and classrooms, and building program communication and reporting tools. In addition to creating afternoon workshops for the students, during the program Dan is the point person for Extended Learning (ExL) and student staff members. He also acts as the liaison for ExL teams, UBC Camps and Student Housing and Hospitality Services, providing support to staff and instructors to ensure UBC Future Global Leaders runs smoothly.

Sarah supports the delivery of online and in-person courses for UBC Extended Learning Languages, Professional and Personal Writing, and English Communication Skills programs. She is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to the instructional team and learners in a positive and creative way. Senior Instructor, University Preparation Programs
He, Him, His
Mitchell leads the University Applications and Skills (UAS) program at UBC Extended Learning. The UAS program includes online courses and on-campus workshops designed to help high school students write effective university applications, develop their academic skills, and build mental-health and habit-formation strategies that ensure resilience and productivity. Mitchell is dedicated to creating and delivering dynamic and engaging learning experiences based on well-researched strategies for achieving student excellence.

Brian Houle
Graphic Designer
Brian is the graphic designer and photographer on the UBC Extended Learning (ExL) marketing team. He creates digital assets for social media and the web, and designs all marketing collateral. He also designs, builds and deploys emails for all ExL program areas. As an experienced and trained photographer, Brian oversees the creative direction and execution for photography used in ExL communications and marketing. Brian brings more than 35 years of marketing communications design expertise to the ExL team.

Adam is responsible for anticipating and analyzing the business needs of UBC Extended Learning, as well as initiating, delivering and managing UBC Extended Learning services for internal and external clients. Working closely with the student service and program teams, Adam supports staff to ensure that they have the tools needed to create an optimal learning environment for all our students and instructors. He has a background in helping people understand technology, and is passionate about assisting historically marginalized groups harness university resources for their advancement.
