These are certificate and micro-certificate programs and courses developed and taught by UBC Faculties and Schools, and approved by UBC Vancouver Senate.

Mining Law and Sustainability

Program

Understand the complex legal and regulatory instruments governing sustainable mining law practices, and develop skills for respectful and inclusive consultation processes.

Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health  

The Centre is a coordinating point for Indigenous health initiatives within UBC and a point of contact for communities and organizations external to UBC. The Centre is dedicated to advancing Indigenous peoples' health through education, innovative thinking, research, and traditional practice. It works to improve wellness, health care and patient outcomes, and promotes self-determination that includes increasing Indigenous leadership in all aspects of health and health care. 

 
 

Indigenous Health Administration and Leadership

UBC Certificate

Centred on Indigenous approaches and traditional teachings, this program builds capacity to lead and deliver Indigenous health and wellness programming.

University Sustainability Initiative 

Faculties, researchers and departments across UBC are working on a variety of innovative initiatives all aimed at meeting the university’s ambitious goals related to sustainability and climate action. The UBC Sustainability Initiative (USI) explores and exemplifies the principles and practices of sustainability, both on campus and in the community.
