UBC Future Global Leaders is a pre-university program for high school students ages 15-18 that attracts ambitious, motivated students from across Canada and around the world.

  • Session 1: July 11–22, 2022
  • Session 2: July 25 – August 5, 2022

Eligibility

This program is open to high school students ages 15–18 who have completed grade 10 or equivalent.

Residence or Commuter Options

Live the full university experience by staying in a student residence. Or commute daily to UBC Vancouver.

Academic Courses

Explore your passions in a non-credit course taught by UBC professors and instructors at a first-year university level.

Choose from non-credit courses in:

  • Business and Economics
  • Engineering and Technology
  • Health and Life Sciences
  • History, Law and Politics
  • Media and Fine Arts
  • People, Culture and Society

Schedule At-a-Glance

Mornings

Attend class on the UBC campus in modern classrooms. Return to residence for lunch with all Future Global Leaders.

Afternoons

Attend university preparation workshops, explore the UBC campus and get to know other students in group activities.

Evenings and Weekends

For students in residence, enjoy summer excursions like skimboarding, kayaking, shopping downtown and Vancouver attractions.

Campus Life & Accommodations

Learn and play at the stunning UBC campus, a must-see destination surrounded by ocean and forest. Stay in a residence in a single furnished bedroom, and live the full university experience. Enjoy an international menu from the cafeteria, and walk to class, recreation and attractions, minutes away from your residence.
