French Conversation Courses
Focus on building confidence in your French language skills in our live interactive classes taught by our passionate, experienced instructors. Built on decades of teaching experience, our online French language conversation courses offer you a real-time virtual classroom experience where you can see and interact with your teacher and classmates. Log on at scheduled times each week to practise and improve your French in authentic and realistic scenarios.
If you’re just starting to learn French, or haven’t studied French in many years, our conversation courses offer a non-intimidating and enjoyable introduction to the language. As you progress through the course levels, you can see the results of your practice and effort.

French Reading and Writing Courses
Our first few levels of French reading and writing courses are an excellent option if you have completed two or more of our conversational courses, while our advanced courses are perfect for learners who have completed these levels or who have previous experience studying French. Steeped in Francophone culture, they’re also ideal if you work in a professional environment where French is spoken and written, such as a federal government office, or if you teach K-12 French. Former French immersion students needing to develop writing skills are a great match for these courses.
The courses are self-paced, meaning you log in and complete work on your own schedule. There are no face-to-face classes. Your instructor releases new modules weekly that that can include class notes, quizzes, assignments, readings, links to articles, videos and practice exercises. You might also be asked to post on discussion boards.
Certificate and Award of Achievement Programs
Our French language certificate and award of achievement programs offer a curriculum of courses designed to markedly improve your proficiency in French language, reading, writing and cultural understanding.
