    David provides administrative and student support for UBC Extended Learning’s (ExL) university preparation and community programs. He helps process admissions, registration and financial transactions for these programs, and liaises with other ExL teams and groups in the community. With more than 20 years of experience as an administrative professional in Canada and the UK, David is passionate about education and ensuring that Canadian and international students have a positive, rewarding experience at UBC.

  2. Rani Kang

    Rani works on the UBC Extended Learning (ExL) student services team, providing front-line assistance to prospective and current ExL learners. She helps guide students in choosing courses and programs that will meet their career and personal education goals. Her responsibilities also include coordinating program inquiries, processing applications, advising students on course and program selection, and supporting other program areas within ExL.

    Beatrice works on the UBC Extended Learning (ExL) marketing team to create and implement digital marketing campaigns and strategies for ExL programs. This includes managing and developing ExL social media accounts, optimizing paid campaigns for Google ads and other platforms, and managing a variety of digital advertising projects. Beatrice’s goal is to continuously increase yearly ExL program and course enrolments, while creating community, fostering engagement and improving the student experience. She brings a background in online paid advertising, social media and email marketing, analytics and SEO to her role.

  4. Brian Houle

    Brian is the graphic designer and photographer on the UBC Extended Learning (ExL) marketing team. He creates digital assets for social media and the web, and designs all marketing collateral. He also designs, builds and deploys emails for all ExL program areas. As an experienced and trained photographer, Brian oversees the creative direction and execution for photography used in ExL communications and marketing. Brian brings more than 35 years of marketing communications design expertise to the ExL team.

  5. Caitlin Sullivan

    Caitlin plans, implements and evaluates integrated marketing campaigns for UBC Extended Learning’s (ExL) languages, writing, English communications skills, data science and software development programs. She also collaborates with and supports the marketing for the UBC Master of Data Science. With a background in mathematics, education, digital marketing and analytics, Caitlin also plays a key role in administering the marketing team’s project management application. Caitlin is committed to delivering campaigns that inspire learners of any age to pursue education.

  6. Doina Strusievici

    In her role at UBC Extended Learning (ExL), Doina turns data into actionable insights that inform marketing and business objectives. Her work encompasses business intelligence and data governance, digital insights and analytics, and digital marketing. Doina provides strategic direction for data collection, measurement, processing and reporting in collaboration with ExL marketing and program teams, UBC Web Services and external vendors. Committed to her continuous learning and personal growth, Doina has completed the UBC Award of Achievement in Digital Analytics, the Certificate Program in Web Intelligence and the Certificate in Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing from UCI. Doina is part of the ExL Digital Transformation working group, and is a professional member of the Digital Analytics Association (DAA). She is also the recipient of several higher education marketing awards.

  7. Gina Mahil

    Gina develops, implements and evaluates integrated marketing campaigns for Extended Learning (ExL) career and personal education programs, both within ExL and for the University. In her role, she manages the digital marketing team, and provides strategic direction and recommendations to the Director, Marketing. Gina brings more than 20 years’ marketing experience in private industry and not-for-profit organizations to her role. As an avid believer in continued learning and personal growth, she has participated in the UBC Community Leadership Program and is working toward her International Coach Federation accreditation through the Organizational Coaching program at UBC.

  8. Tracey Rossignol

    As a member of the UBC Extended Learning (ExL) marketing team and the Program Development Advisory Committee, Tracey develops evidence-based, integrated marketing strategies that drive enrolment for all ExL programs, and for UBC faculties’ career and professional education programs.With more than 30 years’ experience in branding and marketing, Tracey brings a passion for creating and communicating unique stories that enhance the student experience at every touchpoint along their journey.

  9. Cynthia Tam

    Cynthia works with Career and Professional Programs leaders to coordinate and deliver online and in-person programs. She provides administrative and communications support for the instructional team and for students, with an eye to streamlining processes and policies to effectively deliver Extended Learning programming. With more than 15 years’ experience in adult education and administration, Cynthia has a service-oriented mindset and is focused on meeting learners’ needs.

  10. Judy Chorney

    As a member of the UBC Extended Learning (ExL) student services team, Judy supports students by answering questions about ExL programs and courses, helps students choose the right courses, and assists them with registration. She also performs a range of administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of student services and the ExL registration desk.
