Nicole Dingle
Nicole provides market research support for program development initiatives for UBC Extended Learning (ExL) and Faculty programming as a member of the ExL Academic Services, Program Development, Design and Research team. She conducts market and labour market analysis to assess program needs and demand, performing environmental and comparator scans to evaluate program viability and industry needs. Her insights contribute to guiding program development and design in alignment with Ministry, University and Faculty strategic goals. As part of Academic Services’ role in the VPAO New Programs Hub, Nicole also supports the development and analysis of student, alumni, and industry surveys to further inform program strategy. Additionally, Nicole assists with the administration of funding calls for the Continuous Learning Advancement Fund (CLAF).

Yuki Matsumura
Yuki supports course planning, promotion, scheduling, delivery and assessment for a wide range of programs, including programs for high school students and certificate and micro-certificate programs for adult learners. With more than 20 years of experience in post-secondary education, Yuki is proud to offer her professionalism, dedication, and passion for life-long learning and aims to provide a fun and fruitful learning experience for our students.

Terence Lowe
Terence is the Program Leader for the Centre for Equitable Systems Design (CESD). He is responsible for managing the equity, diversity, inclusion (EDI), anti-racism and intercultural communication programming. Terence overseas the delivery of learner-centred teaching methodologies, facilitator training and support, and instructional content for the CESD’s courses, online certificate programs, and organizational development programming.Terence has worked extensively in community-engaged learning and EDI work as an educator, consultant, advisor, trainer, and facilitator for an array of adult learner programs in higher education and community-based organizations, locally, nationally, and abroad. He firmly believes in inspiring learners to grow in empathy and deep courage to do the work it takes to transform the systems we are in.

Joseph Khalil
Joseph is responsible for the development and maintenance of Learning Technology tools, web applications and automated processes for educational technology and LT infrastructure at UBC Extended Learning. Leveraging his expertise and experience in web programming, he is responsible to identify and implement appropriate web programming solutions to meet ExL and faculty needs in support of the teaching and learning for UBC Extended Learning and faculty non-degree programming. Joseph is also responsible for leading the Course Production, Delivery and Support portfolio to support ExL and Faculty non-degree programming and learners. He has over a decade of experience at UBC as a senior web programmer, full stack developer and leading the support of online learning and development of learning technologies and cloud-based solutions. Joseph is a member of the ExL Learning Design and Learning Technology Community and ExL DIY Media Community.

Kayla Wong
Kayla is a member of the UBC Finance team that supports Extended Learning. She plays a crucial role in providing financial processing support for various UBC ExL units. Her responsibilities encompass Career and Professional Programs (CPP), Centre for Equitable Systems Design (CESD), and Marketing. Kayla collaborates closely with program coordinators to ensure prompt delivery of payments and financial transactions. Additionally, she actively assists the program director and senior managers in budget planning, reconciling, and updating budget forecasts. In addition to her involvement with CPP, CESD, and Marketing unit, Kayla also provides financial processing support to the Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT).

Mubarak Olanipekun
Mubarak is a member of the UBC Finance team that supports Extended Learning. He plays an integral role in providing financial support for various UBC ExL units, the English Language Institute and various UBC Faculties. His responsibilities mainly focus on maintaining the financial integrity of the Student Registration system. This encompasses the areas of reconciliations, reporting, and providing financial help desk support and instructions to staff. Mubarak collaborates closely with unit program managers on fiscal planning and reporting. In addition to his current responsibilities Mubarak is always looking for opportunities to grow and excel in his career as a top finance professional at UBC.
