UBC Micro-certificate

Neuroscience shapes how we understand health, learning, technology and human behaviour, with growing relevance across professional and personal contexts. As demand for neuroscience-informed perspectives expands across sectors, there is increasing need for accessible learning opportunities that help learners apply brain science beyond foundational concepts and into real-world settings.
The UBC Micro-certificate in Neuroscience and Our World is a part-time, online program designed for learners who have completed the UBC Micro-certificate Thinking Like a Neuroscientist and want to build their foundational neuroscience knowledge. You will examine topics such as neuroscience and ethics, neuropsychiatry, neurodiversity, education, healthcare and technology so you can deepen your understanding of how neuroscience connects to current real-world issues and applications.
Developed by the UBC Undergraduate Program in Neuroscience and UBC Extended Learning, this micro-certificate combines fundamental neuroscientific concepts and theories with case studies and applied examples. You will deepen your understanding of neuroscience while building skills to apply that knowledge in your work and daily life.
