Artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing are transforming how businesses create content, engage audiences and optimize operations. Digital media is no longer the domain of media-based companies and AI is reshaping organizations across sectors. The UBC Certificate in Artificial Intelligence in Digital Media is a multi-disciplinary program designed to help professionals harness the power of AI and cloud-based solutions across commercial, creative and strategic contexts. With a focus on real-world implementation, participants will build a solid understanding of core AI concepts, gain hands-on experience with essential no-code tools and learn how to apply AI automation techniques effectively across diverse industry scenarios.

Explore the ethical implications of AI technologies, and the role of governance and standards in addressing issues of privacy, bias, accountability, transparency and human rights. Create a strategy to integrate or optimize AI in your organization, tailored to your specific needs and goals.

  • Format: 100% online and instructor supported with real-time weekly sessions
  • Duration: Five or six courses for a total of 150 hours to be completed over six months to two years
  • Cost: $950–$1,950 per course, $5,700-$5,750 for the program
