The UBC Extended Learning Centre for Organizational Coaching provides award-winning, globally recognized coach education for leaders, professionals and practitioners. We offer evidence-based, experientially designed coaching programs that strengthen resilience, systemic thinking and collaborative relationships across workplaces and communities. In all our programs we leverage coaching as a learning methodology to expand capabilities and foster engaged learning communities.
A leader in coach education
In 2013, UBC Coaching Services partnered with UBC Extended Learning to launch the Certificate in Organizational Coaching with a cohort of just 12 students. Today, it’s the Centre’s flagship international program, graduating more than 90 coaches each year and connecting a network of over 700 alumni worldwide.
Recognized for excellence in coach education, the program has received the International Coaching Federation Prism Award (2018) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) Global Coaching Award (2024). In 2026, the UBC Certificate in Organizational Coaching has become one of the few dually accredited ICF Level 2 and EMCC EQA programs in North America - a landmark achievement.
Over the last decade, we have continued to expand our coach education portfolio, developing a range of ICF-accredited offerings to create multiple entry points for professionals across sectors and career stages.
