This micro-course can be applied toward the AI Essentials for Organizations program and is the introductory level micro-course in the AI in the Workplace track.   This comprehensive introductory micro-course is designed for professionals across a range of organizational roles and sectors to build foundational AI knowledge through hands-on experience with AI toolkits, generative AI applications and responsible AI practices. Gain skills to participate confidently in organizational AI initiatives and identify opportunities for AI adoption, innovation, and improved workflows within your workplace. In this micro-course, you will

  • develop an understanding of the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, so you can identify opportunities and leverage its advantages; but also to recognize the associated risks, ethical implications and, more importantly, make informed decisions.
  • learn more than what AI is, and understanding what it can do for you, your work, and your future. 
  • learn how to bridge the gap between theory and practice, helping you move from curiosity to capability.  

How am I assessed?

This micro-course operates on a pass/fail basis. You must complete the micro-course assessments to pass to be eligible to earn the digital badge.

Expected Effort

Expect to spend approximately 35 hours of self-paced learning per micro-course completing all learning activities.
