Sign Language One-week Summer Institute at Robson Square - Beginner

Summer Institute

Come to Robson Square this summer for a Summer Institute in American Sign Language (ASL). This one-week program is an excellent way to acquire or improve sign language skills in an immersion setting.

This course is designed for those with no previous exposure to American Sign Language. The immersion approach is used to teach beginner level vocabulary and grammar. You will learn how to introduce yourself, discuss leisure activities and learn about deaf culture. By the end of this class you should be able to engage in simple conversations.  A lunch on Friday provides the opportunity to practice your signing skills with your fellow students in a casual environment.
