Drawing on case studies and industry related readings, gain a deeper understanding of how to create and implement a multi-year strategic plan, including learning ways museum administrators can work with key stakeholders to create compelling and practical vision/mission statements and strategic goals.
In addition, you will learn how to create and support a successful non-profit governance structure.
Discussions focus on how to:
- identify and recruit board members
- create a healthy committee structure
- define and set term limits
- involve board members in the strategic planning process
- develop a leadership succession plan.
You will also take away strategic and governance planning templates for your own post-course use.
