This is the third workshop in our Court Interpreting workshop series.
The workshop begins with a non-language specific session which consolidates the skills that are required to perform consecutive interpreting (CI) tasks in court. It then helps students get hands-on experience interpreting consecutively for participants in court proceedings between English and Chinese. The workshop ends with a certification exam-style practice test.
This workshop is a must for those who plan to get into court interpreting and a refresher for exam takers who have already received training in legal translation and interpreting.
The workshop has four sessions that are designed to be taken in sequence. However, students have the option to register for sessions individually. Students who have successfully completed all four sessions will receive a Court Interpreting: Consecutive Interpreting letter of completion.
