Business and Social Impact

This course is part of the UBC Future Global Leaders Online program for high school students ages 15–18.

In our complex world, the social, environmental and economic needs of our planet and people have never been greater. The business winners of the future will be companies that can use sustainability as an opportunity instead of a barrier – and businesses can’t afford to be complacent.

In this course, examine the foundations of businesses that have true social impact. Work with real-company examples to build foundational business knowledge, including strategy, marketing and operations. Work in teams to build a model business, and pitch your social enterprise idea to the class at the end of the course.

If you are interested in business and committed to making a difference, this course is for you.
