This March break course is designed for high school students aged 14-18 that have completed the American Sign Language March Break Intensive for High School Students Part 1 or equivalent. The immersion approach is used to teach beginner level vocabulary and grammar; all of our teachers are native signers who use a signing-only environment with no spoken English.
Surrounded by peers your own age, you will continue to increase your knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) with this second level course. You learn complex numbers, natural and text finger spelling, develop narrative skills and continue to gain insight into Deaf culture. Topics include discussing living situations, giving directions, and talking about family
Note: This course does not require the purchase of a textbook. Your instructor will provide in-class and online materials.
