Terry Rogocki, MA (Leadership and Training), BA (Anthropology), has spent the past 20 years as an English teacher and researcher in Japan, a Livelihoods Advisor in Sri Lanka, the director of a private language school in Vancouver, a lecturer and international development consultant in Cambodia, a part-time instructor at BCIT, and a soft-skills trainer at SAP Software. He currently works as a business consultant in Taiwan.
Terry has completed the UBC Certificate in Intercultural Studies and the Certificate in International Development. He began working within the UBC community in 2008 as a facilitator in the online International Development and intercultural, diversity and inclusion programs, and as a facilitator for intercultural skills workshops with both faculty members and administrators.
In his work across a range of sectors, Terry has developed a skill set in leadership, intercultural communication, organizational culture/behaviour, and community development. He has also acquired a strong interest in international development and human rights through his work, volunteer placements, and travel to over 90 countries. During 2011-2012, Terry was co-president of the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR) BC and was the 2012-2013 Chair for Oxfam BC/Yukon's Regional Steering Committee.
