Sally McLean is an intercultural educator with experience working in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. She has designed and implemented courses for Canadians working overseas, for professionals from other countries who come to Canada to work or study, and for Canadians working in multicultural contexts. She is involved in the design and delivery of the UBC Certificate in Intercultural Studies and the UBC Certificate in International Development, as well as the UBC Certificate Aboriginal Health and Community Administrator Program. She has post-graduate training in Adult Education from Toronto, Carleton, and St Francis Xavier Universities and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Simon Fraser University. Sally was the first recipient of the John K. Friesen Excellence in Teaching Award.in 2009.
