Michelle LeBaron serves as Professor of Law and dispute resolution scholar at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. As Professor of Conflict Analysis and Resolution and Women's Studies from 1993-2003 at George Mason University in Virginia, she did seminal work in many areas of conflict resolution including intercultural, international, family and commercial. Professor LeBaron's recent scholarship focuses on spirituality and the arts as they animate and inspire conflict transformation. She offers short courses internationally, and is a well-known keynote speaker. Professor LeBaron's books include Bridging Troubled Waters: Conflict Resolution from the Heart, Bridging Cultural Conflicts: A New Approach for a Changing World and Conflict Across Cultures: A Unique Experience of Bridging Differences with Venashri Pillay. Her forthcoming book is titled The Choreography of Resolution: Conflict, Dance and Neuroscience. Professor LeBaron has been appointed Distinguished Scholar in Residence by the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies at UBC for 2013-2014.
