Mary Lam graduated from the University of Toronto Law School in 1992 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1994. She has practised exclusively in the areas of Canadian Immigration and Citizenship law as a sole practitioner since 1994. During the past 20 years she has handled numerous routine and complex immigration matters including family cases, skilled workers, entrepreneurs, investors and temporary visas such as visitor, student and work visas. She has extensive court experience, including detention reviews, appeals before the Immigration Appeal Division, judicial reviews and appeals before the Federal Court of Canada. She handles medical and criminal issues related to immigration matters as well as residency issues. She has participated in class action law suits against the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.
