Kristin Marshall (HBA, LLB) has worked in private practice and in various roles with immigrants and refugees for more than 20 years. She worked at the Refugee Law Office with Legal Aid Ontario (LAO), where she represented refugees and immigrants in detention. She has designed and delivered training workshops about survivors of domestic violence with Community Legal Education Ontario, was a clinical instructor at Downtown Legal Services, and was a supervising lawyer with International Human Rights Program at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
Kristin is currently Senior Refugee Law Trainer with LAO, where she sets up training modules and mentorships to enhance refugee law services in Ontario. She is working part-time toward a master’s in education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, and is involved with many organizations that promote refugee rights.
