Farzana Nayani is an intercultural communications consultant and has been an instructor and trainer since 2000. Originally from Vancouver, Farzana completed BA and BEd degrees at UBC and an MA in Intercultural Communication at the University of Hawai‘i. She currently lives in Los Angeles coordinating programs on leadership training for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in both corporate and community settings. Farzana is a designer of culturally relevant curriculum including the Filipino American Centennial online curriculum for the Smithsonian Institution and has co-authored a chapter on cross-cultural training in the Handbook of Cross-Cultural Management (2008). With her TESOL background, she creates and conducts programs on pronunciation and accent training for non-native speakers of English. Farzana has spent extensive time in Canada, Hawai‘i and South and Southeast Asia and is a board member for organizations that serve the multiracial community in North America.
