Daniel has practiced immigration and refugee law in Vancouver for over 20 years, representing immigrant and refugee clients from many countries. He also advises and assists refugee sponsorship groups and Sponsorship Agreement Holders on sponsoring overseas refugees. Daniel has lectured on immigration and refugee law for the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC, the Legal Services Society, the Canadian Bar Association - BC Branch Immigration Section, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is a graduate of Simon Fraser University and of the law school at UBC. Daniel has been an instructor with the UBC immigration program since its inception in 2001. In 2017 he was voted one of the 3 best immigration lawyers in Vancouver, by the readers of the Georgia Straight newspaper.
