Carolina Alvarado holds a law degree from the University of the Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) and a Masters in Social Justice and Equity Studies from Brock University. Her interests are in issues of race and racism, migration and post-colonial studies, and women studies. She is a community organizer of Justice for Migrant Workers, a grassroots community collective that advocates for the betterment of migrant worker’s working and living conditions in Canada. In addition, Carolina is a community interpreter working with women victims of domestic violence.
