Deena Boeck, BPE, MSc, collaborates with UBC faculties, local employers, and professional associations to develop and deliver a diverse range of professional and career development programs tailored to the needs of learner groups and sectors.
She leveraged local programming success with curriculum licensing initiatives across North America, and is passionate about learning opportunities that spark innovation, deepen self-awareness, and strengthen community and collaboration. A UBC alumnus, Deena completed her master's in rehabilitation degree in Leuven, Belgium.
Prior to joining UBC Extended Learning, Deena combined her interests in education, health, and wellness as the communications manager for an international NGO based in Berlin, Germany. There, she worked closely with the World Health Organization, UNESCO and a worldwide network of research centres. Returning home to Vancouver, she managed an international working group on behalf of Sport Canada, and came back to UBC to complete the UBC Certificate in Intercultural Studies.
